[ESV] 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers, 12 saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” 13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children God has given me.” 14 Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. 16 For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. 17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

고린도전서(1 Corinthians) 1:23-24, 23.우리는 십자가에 못 박힌 그리스도를 전하니 유대인에게는 거리끼는 것이요 이방인에게는 미련한 것이로되 24.오직 부르심을 받은 자들에게는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 그리스도는 하나님의 능력이요 하나님의 지혜니라. 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
십자가에 못 박힌 그리스도는 하나님의 능력이요 하나님의 지혜다. - Christ crucified is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
MAIN BODY: 하나님의 일에 자비하고 신실한 대제사장(A merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God.)
1. 우리를 형제라 부르시는 예수 - Jesus calls us brothers.

창조주께서 다시 인간의 모습으로 오셔 우리를 회복시키셨다. - The Creator came again in human form to restore us.
2. 우리와 같아지신 이유 - Why He became like us.

고린도전서(1 Corinthians) 15:55-58, 55.사망아 너의 승리가 어디 있느냐 사망아 네가 쏘는 것이 어디 있느냐 56.사망이 쏘는 것은 죄요 죄의 권능은 율법이라 57.우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리에게 승리를 주시는 하나님께 감사하노니 58.그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 앎이라. 55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
자신의 죽음으로 사망권세를 멸하신 예수를 기억하라. - Remember Jesus, who destroyed the power of death by his own death.
3. 우리를 위해 죽으신 예수 - Jesus died for us.
히브리서(Hebrews) 2:17-18, 17.그러므로 그가 범사에 형제들과 같이 되심이 마땅하도다 이는 하나님의 일에 자비하고 신실한 대제사장이 되어 백성의 죄를 속량하려 하심이라 18.그가 시험을 받아 고난을 당하셨은즉 시험 받는 자들을 능히 도우실 수 있느니라. 17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
요한복음(John) 11:25-26, 25.예수께서 이르시되 나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고 26.무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐? 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
요한복음(John) 14:18-20, 18.내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려두지 아니하고 너희에게로 오리라 19.조금 있으면 세상은 다시 나를 보지 못할 것이로되 너희는 나를 보리니 이는 내가 살아 있고 너희도 살아 있겠음이라 20.그 날에는 내가 아버지 안에, 너희가 내 안에, 내가 너희 안에 있는 것을 너희가 알리라. 18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
자신의 피로 우를 사신 우리의 중보자 예수 그리스도를 기억하라. 그분은 우리가 당하는 모든 것을 직접 당하시고 승리하셔 능히 우리를 도우실 수 있는 분이시다. - Remember our Mediator, Jesus Christ, who purchased us with his own blood. He is able to help us because he himself suffered and triumphed over all that we suffer.
CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 예수께서 우리를 위해 죽으심으로 사망권세를 깨트리셨음을 기억하고 그분과 함께 세상을 이기며 살아가시기를 바랍니다. – I pray that you remember that Jesus broke the power of death by dying for us and you live with Him to overcome the world.
