15.나오미가 또 이르되 보라 네 동서는 그의 백성과 그의 신들에게로 돌아가나니 너도 너의 동서를 따라 돌아가라 하니 16.룻이 이르되 내게 어머니를 떠나며 어머니를 따르지 말고 돌아가라 강권하지 마옵소서 어머니께서 가시는 곳에 나도 가고 어머니께서 머무시는 곳에서 나도 머물겠나이다 어머니의 백성이 나의 백성이 되고 어머니의 하나님이 나의 하나님이 되시리니 17.어머니께서 죽으시는 곳에서 나도 죽어 거기 묻힐 것이라 만일 내가 죽는 일 외에 어머니를 떠나면 여호와께서 내게 벌을 내리시고 더 내리시기를 원하나이다 하는지라 18.나오미가 룻이 자기와 함께 가기로 굳게 결심함을 보고 그에게 말하기를 그치니라 19.이에 그 두 사람이 베들레헴까지 갔더라 베들레헴에 이를 때에 온 성읍이 그들로 말미암아 떠들며 이르기를 이이가 나오미냐 하는지라 20.나오미가 그들에게 이르되 나를 나오미라 부르지 말고 나를 마라라 부르라 이는 전능자가 나를 심히 괴롭게 하셨음이니라 21.내가 풍족하게 나갔더니 여호와께서 내게 비어 돌아오게 하셨느니라 여호와께서 나를 징벌하셨고 전능자가 나를 괴롭게 하셨거늘 너희가 어찌 나를 나오미라 부르느냐 하니라 22.나오미가 모압 지방에서 그의 며느리 모압 여인 룻과 함께 돌아왔는데 그들이 보리 추수 시작할 때에 베들레헴에 이르렀더라. [ESV] 15 And she said, “See, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.” 16 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.” 18 And when Naomi saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more. 19 So the two of them went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they came to Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them. And the women said, “Is this Naomi?” 20 She said to them, “Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went away full, and the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the Lord has testified against me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?” 22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabite her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.

 

Question: 주를 따르는 성도의 마땅한 자세는? - What is the proper attitude of believers who follow the Lord?

 

OUTLINE: 어머니의 하나님이 나의 하나님이 되시리니(Your God shall be my God.)

1.     주님이 가시는 곳까지 가라. - Go as far as He goes.

2.     주님이 멈추시는 곳에서 멈추라. - Stop where He stops.

3.     주님이 죽으시는 곳에서 함께 죽어라. - Die with Him where He dies.

 

INTRODUCTION: [살아도 주를 위하여, 죽어도 주를 위하여] - For the Lord if I live, for the Lord if I die.

로마서(Romans) 14:7-8, 7.우리 중에 누구든지 자기를 위하여 사는 자가 없고 자기를 위하여 죽는 자도 없도다. 8.우리가 살아도 주를 위하여 살고 죽어도 주를 위하여 죽나니 그러므로 사나 죽으나 우리가 주의 것이로다. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

고린도전서(1 Corinthians) 10:31, 31.그런즉 너희가 먹든지 마시든지 무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 영광을 위하여 하라. 31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

살아도 주를 위하여 살고 - if we live, we live to the Lord.

죽어도 주를 위하여 죽나니 - if we die, we die to the Lord.

사나 죽으나 우리가 주의 것. - whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

모든 것을 주님께 맡기고 살아가는 사람들의 자세는 오직 주님이 영광만을 바라 보고 살아 간다.

- The attitude of those who entrust everything to the Lord is that they live their lives with looking only on the glory of the Lord.

 

CONCLUSION: 사랑하는 성도들이 주님이 가시는 곳까지 가고 멈추시는 곳에서 멈추며 죽으시는 곳에서 함께 죽기를 바랍니다. – I pray that you go where He goes, stop where He stops, and die where He dies.
